88CHARLIES, INC

Branding + Content Strategist

Jul 2015 - Oct 2022

Working with 88CHARLIES has been a rewarding experience. I was more-or-less given free creative reign on their recent rebrand, and it allowed me to really spread my wings and try things that I hadn't before been able to do in previously held positions. Along they way I've met and worked with some intriguing people, young and old alike, and developed a fascination for vintage aviation.

Design marketing materials for print and digital purposes.
Copywriting for all materials and website.
New website development in 2015 with responsive format.
Photograph employees and projects.

SAPPHIRE GREEN PHOTOGRAPHY

Proprietor + Photographer

Apr 2008 - Jun 2019

What can I say, Sapphire Green is my baby. Getting behind the camera gives me a creative outlet that I revel in. Meeting the many people that I do is the icing on the cake. It's an absolute pleasure to see the joy and love of a family and to be able to preserve those moments for eternity. All of the behind-the-scenes responsibilities of running a photography business offer me routine challenges that keep my mind fresh and always thinking. This endeavor has helped me realize that I really can do anything, so long as I put my heart and soul into it.

Photograph, process images for print, and present to clients
Create, design and implement marketing materials and strategies
Launch social networking pages and campaigns
Maintain, schedule, and implement consistent posts

WALWORTH COUNTY VISITORS BUREAU

Marketing & Sales Director

Nov 2015 - Oct 2016

Being the Marketing & Sales Director at WCVB was the highest "ranked" position I've held thus far in the world of marketing. My favorite part about it was meeting and working with different local, small business owners. WCVB was a small stone in each of those companies' marketing landscapes. It was a treat learning about each of the businesses and finding creative ways to help promote them.

Manage and track multiple social media account
Event coordination and implementation
Oversee Group Sales department
Design online marketing materials, brochures, booklets and trade show pieces

RUTLEDGE PHOTOGRAPHY

Marketing Communications Intern/Assistant Photographer

Sep 2013 - Dec 2013

If there was such as thing as an "internship of a lifetime," I'd have to say that this was it. Part of the internship included research for a new business idea, and that research led me all over Northern Ireland, and through a bit of the Republic of Ireland. I experienced much of the natural beauty of the Emerald Isle, and was able to visit, tour, and/or photograph many of the stately homes across the island. It was one of my grandest adventures to date, and I was able to learn a bit about international marketing and business development along the way.

Research markets
Develop marketing plans for print and social media
Create business plan for a new business venture and implement all strategies
Prepare and plan for photo assignments
Set up lighting and gear in museum settings to assist in photographing various museum pieces
Assist and act as second shooter at location shoots that include architectural, landscape, and wedding portraiture

TREK BICYCLE CORPORATION

Marketing Intern

Apr 2012 - Dec 2012

The internship with TREK was my first experience (of my entire existence - literally) working in an office environment. Fortunately for me, it was an easy transition. While I was working in an office at TREK, it was a pretty casual atmosphere complete with random bicycle excursions, awesome sway being thrown my way almost daily, and healthy snacks around every corner. The whole office worked hard, but they had fun doing it. It was a rather cohesive group and turned out to be a great place to learn about marketing and working as a team.
